Come spend a day on the water with us as your Lake Oahe fishing guide. This is the bite that kicks off everything for us each Spring. We look forward to it big time! The past two Springs have allowed us to be on the water as early as February. This style of fishing generally starts out with fishing jigs with live bait in the deeper holes vertically. As the water warms and the main push of migratory fish arrive, we start to transition to pitching jigs with plastics and live bait to shallow water current breaks. We also start to pull crankbaits in shallow water across large flats. This can provide some of the best fishing of the year for both numbers and size! Every year some of the largest fish that are boated come during this Spring time period. The best bite generally starts down in the Hazelton boat ramp area and transitions into the cities of Bismarck and Mandan. The fishing right in town can be down right fantastic. Five minutes from the boat ramp! As the spring gets closer to summer, you can find us around an hour south of Bismarck chasing walleyes. This is pretty consistent all the way into the summer. If you're looking for a Lake Oahe fishing guide in North Dakota, then give us a shout.
