Growing up in Moorhead Minnesota, summers were spent at our family cabin in West Central MN. My grandfather sparked the fire within me to get involved in fishing and he created a monster. As soon as I was old enough to drive a boat and trailer, I was running up to Devils Lake on weekends sleeping in my truck and fishing all day. I found I was learning something new everyday. I now have a year-round park model trailer at Devils Lake and spend most of the summer there and at Lake Sakakawea.

 

 While the Minnesota walleye season was closed, I spent my Springs at the Missouri River South of Bismarck. It was an annual trip to target trophy fish. Because I now live in Bismarck, I'm fortunate enough to have the Missouri River, Lake Oahe and Lake Sakakawea in my "back yard". I have access not only to the water but also to the people I network with everyday. I'm always speaking with my contacts to be sure I'm current with the ever-changing patterns. Living in Bismarck with my wife Bethany, and our son Ryker and daughter Emery (twins), it gives me the chance to have my finger on the pulse of the fish at all times.
